Dana DeRuyck is your offbeat buddy in everything from classical theatre to fan fiction to stand-up comedy. She's currently represented by Sovereign Talent Group and lives in Los Angeles.
She can now be seen in writer/director Michelle Gritzer's short film A Girl Problem. It's making the rounds at various festivals, and earned the Platinum Award for Best Acting Duo at the Independent Shorts Awards (LA, March 2020).
Active in the LA theatre scene (read: a huge drama nerd), Dana is a member of Sacred Fools Theater Company, a resident artist with the Porters of Hellsgate, and a founding member of Broads' Word Ensemble, Catch her this July as Lady Anne in Shakespeare by the Sea's Richard III.
Not to be set back by a global pandemic, Dana can still be found performing stand-up comedy online -- find her in virtual shows with Salty AF, Tao Comedy Studio, Flappers Burbank, and Pretty, Funny Women. She'll also be returning to the Laugh Riot Grrrl Festival in June 2021.

AWARD-WINNING SHORT FILM
Dana's new short film A Girl Problem recently premiered at the San Diego Int'l Film Festival's ShortsFest 2021. It's also picked up laurels for Best Acting Duo (Platinum) and Best Female Short (Silver) at the International Shorts Awards (Los Angeles, March 2020).
